We love pets!
Our dog, Chopper, loves to greet guests and you might see our cats, Cookie and Patty. Our chooks wander through our garden free range and are supervised by our rooster, Pioupiou. He’s never very rowdy in the mornings and it’s a struggle to even hear him over the birdsong.
We are happy for you to have your pets inside under supervision and we have designed the rooms to accommodate pets comfortably. Over the years we’ve hosted dogs, cats, birds, chooks, goats and horses. We have several regular guests with pets who always feel very welcome.
You can take your dog for a long walk while you stay. There is very little traffic and we are adjacent to the lagoon. If you fancy a longer walk, the Kinchina Conservation Park and the Riverglades Community Wetlands Walking Trail allow dogs on leads.
Cats love our ‘Bird TV’. Our rooms open up to the wider gardens with screen doors to keep your puss inside securely. If your cat is harness-trained, you are most welcome to take them for a walk. Let us know and we can help you plan a quiet walk away from other guests and animals.
We love to host horses. We have an enclosed paddock at the back of our property which has an electric fence, barn, and water trough. It is away from other guests and your horses can have the run of the paddock and be safe and secure. There is plenty of onsite parking for a horse float. We collect donations for the Windamere Horse Haven.
