Bienvenue
Rob and Stef had a dream.
While living in Busselton, Western Australia, they dreamed of their own Bed and Breakfast. Both have a background in hospitality and, while Rob is from Busselton, Stef is French and grew up in Paris. They couldn’t find what they wanted in Busselton so they sold up, bought a caravan, and started their search.

Heading east, they crossed the South Australian border. Town after atmospheric tiny town frozen in time. Stone buildings against a big, blue, sky. Their search was over.
They found the perfect place nestled on the quiet outskirts of Murray Bridge with the River Murray in the distance. A La Folly is a former dairy farm which has a collection of old stone buildings that Rob has lovingly restored and Stef has artistically decorated. It has an eclectic history having housed the first female blacksmith in Australia and artists who left their artwork scattered throughout the gardens.
But why Murray Bridge?

Murray Bridge is a rustic country town that has grown up to be a rural city without losing any of its charm. It is centrally located to take full advantage of the River Murray, the Fleurieu Peninsula, and the Adelaide Hills. At the gateway of the South Eastern Freeway to Adelaide, it’s an easy one hour drive into town.
Murray Bridge has most of the amenities of a capital city without the gridlocked traffic. Everything you need is centrally located and usually only involves one set of traffic lights! There is an abundance of undercover parking.

A La Folly is perfect for couples wanting a romantic weekend, singles wishing for an oasis of calm, and travellers with pets who would like some respite from their campervan or rooftop tent. It is not suitable for children and, being an old building set on a slope, unfortunately cannot accommodate wheelchairs.
The Retreat is a large, open plan, fully self-contained room with air-conditioning, a kitchenette, a dining area, study desk, living room, television, and patio.
The Old Workshop is a smaller room with a delightful patio with views towards the river with heating, a television, a fridge, a microwave and kettle, plus a table and sofa. Please note that the toilet and shower are a short distance from this room as, being an old farm outbuilding, it does not have plumbing. You can view a video of the stroll to the amenities on our YouTube channel.

What was the Campers Room is now being remodelled to become The Studio.
Rob and Stef love to cook and Stef’s creations are heavily influenced by her Parisienne roots. A complimentary breakfast of crepes or pancakes is served in your room at a time you request. For an additional $10 per person, you can upgrade to a cooked or continental breakfast. They can also provide you with a picnic lunch for day trips and serve dinner in your room.
