Life can be a bit much sometimes and there’s nothing like a restorative weekend in nature to refresh and reset.

A La Folly is set on the outskirts of Murray Bridge with expansive views across the lagoon and grounds full of bird-attracting native plants. It is a quiet oasis of calm.

Our native gardens have been designed to thrive in South Australia’s climate and include a wide range of eremophila. You’ll wake to birdsong. Take your breakfast outside and indulge in some birding and, as you glance across the lagoon, you might see some kangaroos or even a paddle steamer in the distance.

Our rooms are carefully renovated showcasing the old stonework. We have taken great care to retain the charm of the historic buildings while installing modern comforts. They are cosily furbished and full of yesteryear artifacts.

Explore the rooms. You’ll find little treasures and quirky books. Make yourself a plunger of fresh coffee or a cup of tea. We have an extensive DVD library to unwind with in the evenings.

Each room has an undercover deck with an outdoor setting for you to enjoy the garden and the view in all weather. There is also seating scattered throughout the gardens.

The Retreat’s decking overlooks the courtyard and there is a separate outdoor setting which overlooks the lagoon.

The Old Workshop has French doors that open out to the deck and the sweeping view of the lagoon.

We can fully cater your stay with bespoke meals served at a time you request.

Our crepe/pancake breakfast is complimentary, and for an additional $10 per person, you can upgrade to a full cooked or continental breakfast.

If you are too relaxed to venture out, you can order a meal served in your room or on your deck at a time you request. Our meals are prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients.
